Walmart Strikers Return to Work With Full Pay

Walmart Warehouse workers in Elwood, IL who have labored under extreme summer temperatures for years with no relief from the company finally got concessions from Walmart and returned to work at full pay after a 21 day strike.  They had shut down the warehouse with a coalition of clergymen and community and local labor leaders for three weeks by blocking the access road leading out of the building .  Striking worker Ted Ledwar said, “ With this victory, we forced the company to respect our rights.  We showed that when workers are united we can stand up to the biggest corporation in the world and win.”
