RAPE: WOULD YOU ALLOW IT IF YOU REALLY NEEDED MONEY?Posted: February 3, 2013

If you were really strapped for cash would you pimp out your mother; wife; sister; daughter; son or anyone – allowing them to be raped for money? Hopefully everyone is offended by this question and if asked of them would quickly and emphatically say something like, “of course not!” What boggles my mind is how so many people think that hydraulic fracturing should be done – because “we need the money.” I have actually heard people say “if we do not frack we are all going to die!” If you either do not have a clue about fracking or you are pro-fracking I implore you to do objective research and to spend some quiet time in thought with yourself and your values. Will you be motivated to rise up and stand to defend our world and health or will dollar signs blind you to sink down and embrace your inner pimp?
Albany, NY — January 9, 2013 over 1,000 people rallied to ban fracking outside Governor Cuomo’s State of the State address. Experts are saying that this may have been the largest demonstration held at the New York State of the State Address in its history.
People from the very young to the disabled to the quite mature and seemingly from all walks of life were at the rally. Most skipped work, school and other responsibilities, travelled to our capital and held signs, flags, umbrellas, wore t-shirts, displayed artwork, played musical instruments, sang, marched and chanted to “Ban Fracking Now!” Folk singer and earth champion, Pete Seeger was among the masses and led in singing “This Land Is Your Land”!
Governor Cuomo did not mention hydraulic fracturing in his address.
A final decision is expected in February.
Will New York State be a champion and leader for the well-being of our planet and its people or just another sell-out to the almighty dollar pimping out Mother Earth and the health of each and every one of us?
Some other Signs at the Albany demo read as follows….
“GOVERNOR CUOMO ACT BY CONSENT OF THE COVERNED NOT BY CONSENT OF CORPORATIONS BAN FRACKING”
“WE WANT TRANSPARENT HEALTH IMPACT ASSESSMENT SUPPORTED BY SOUND SCIENCE”
“PERMITTING FRACKING IS A BETRAYAL OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH OF ALL NEW YORKERS
“CANCER FROM FRACKING BENZENE AND RADON”
“MONEY OUT OF POLITICS”
NATURAL GAS = METHANE = DANGEROUS GREENHOUSE GAS, LEAVE IT IN THE SHALE”
“ONCE YOU FRACK YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK”
“HUMAN HEALTH NOT CORPORATE WEALTH”
