Long time People’s Press Supporter DiesPosted: May 6, 2013
The Broome County area has suffered a loss. Bill Boysick’s recent death has left us short one person who believed in the importance of the “little guy”. Bill was a long time member of Laborers Union Local 7. Even after retirement from the union, he supported the activities of the members of Local 7 and would join picket lines for them and other unions and community groups. Bill supported numerous causes of working people struggling to survive in a system that he labeled “unjust”. Bill was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and RSVP and nobody could ever sell fund raising raffle tickets better. He was person who had the interest of the people of the community people always in his heart. Except for two local politicians, he believed that most politicians and the two major political parties had abandoned the interests of average people. Bill was part of the People’s Press. He contributed to articles by giving his opinions and he distributed copies of the paper. Bill contributed what he could for the people who made up the center of his world. He will be missed.
